Dear R.K.Datta

What you say is true...and it's a pity that your ventures havent been successful...but you can take heart from the fact that people like me (there are a lot of youngsters and my friends) who want to put their patriotism to good use.

Cheers

Lily,

Thanks for your response. I am too old to start any thing new. My second attempt to set up an "Assisted Living " place too met with similar fate. People like to talk but not willing to do any thing. Those who are doing some work often can not think beyond "Old Age Home",while I wanted to set up a place where Sr.Citizens who can afford a reason cost has place to live their life with dignity.

Regards.God bless.

Dear R.K.Datta
Thank you for visiting the blog and liking it...the problem is that people like glamour more than actual stuff...people are willing to speak about patriotism but wont budge to help by patriotism.
I hope your Fund Rising program and further endeavours meet up with more success...
I shall read your blog too
Cheers

Lilyrose,

It was great reading your blog. I was getting kind of sick all poticians claiming to a patriot. I posted blog too.

I am very happy to see some one feeling for the Country. I failed to get Indians contribute $1 a month to an Organization set up by a few immigrants from India. We wanted $1 per month from each Indian as their contribution to the Country where they came from. It was 1989, and a rough estimate - if all NRIs/ PIO paid $1 - we could raise more than a million bucks and we could do a lot for the Country as well as for Indian Community  living in North America.

I posted a blog on how little Indian give fior others. Our organization with was incorporated in Michigan and also had IRS Tax expemption because some NRIs did want to pay because they could not wite down $12 in their Tax return. When we got that after answering 52 + questions from IRS ,then they were woried about the scams.

They did not mind paying for Fund Raising Dinner with celebrities and show with Bollywood starts. We did not want to do it. It was kept alive by contributions from Americans and promoters, then it died. It died in infancy.

Regards.God bless.
